ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

The abstract submission starts on March 15, 2009 and the deadline is October 31, 2009 (deadline extended!).

Notification of the status of proposals: December 20-30, 2009.

Full paper articles for publication in the Conference Proceedings should be submitted by March 15, 2010.

To Submit your Proposal


2.- Register at the Abstract Submission Link. It is necessary to submit your abstract proposal. Use  the botton "create an account". You will receive a pasword in your email account. Then you can login and send the abstract proposal.

3.- Complete the Abstract Submission Form according the guidelines. Save the file in doc format using: familiy name-area of submission-EMTC201.
For example: Sabbatella-Theory&Research-EMTC2010

4.- To send the abstract enter on the Abstract Submission Link, and choose the Scientific Area of your presentation [Theory&Research - Clinical Practice&Supervision - Training&Accreditation].
Go to Submit File [upload a file from your computer] - Next -  Select a file - Upload.

5.- When the file is uploaded a message is displayed: Thank you for your submission.

6.- When the process of submission is finished, log out.

Types of Proposals

* Paper Presentation: Oral presentation of written material (45 minutes, including 10 minutes discussion).

* Symposium: Group of professionals discussing around the same topic (2 hours panel discussion, papers length 30 minutes, including 10 minutes discussion). Maximun Symposium length 6 hours in blocks of 2 hours.

* Roundtable: Group of 4 professionals, including the organizing person, discussing around a topic engaging audience participation (1.30 hours, papers length 15 minutes, audience discussion 20 minutes).

* Workshop:Active presentation engaging participants in an experiential process to gain knowledge in a topic. The time for workshop presentations is 90 minutes, including 10-15 minutes of discussion.

* Poster: Static and visual medium, usually of a paper that presents results of a research project, clinical practice or training programmes. A poster board will be allocated for each poster presentation. Size of poster board: 200 cm high and 100 cm wide - Size of usable area: 100 cm high and 70 cm wide.

Guidelines for submitting proposals

Abstracts submitted to the Scientific Committee must give a clear description of the content of the presentation, whether it is a paper, workshop or poster.

The abstract will be published at the Conference Book of Abstracts, therefore must be written in a scientific publishable quality language, and must represent the content of the paper /poster / workshop well. Information must be sent according these guidelines:

Title of presentation: 12 words maximum

Abstract: 300 words maximum; appropriate for inclusion in conference program booklet and must be written in English. Clinical proposals should include information on assessment and documentation; research proposals should include information on research method and data analysis and include the specific argument and/or central research outcomes to show the results and the relevance of the argument or findings for music therapy.
References: 5 references maximum that are relevant to the content of the presentation

Keywords: 5 keywords maximum that are relevant to the content of the presentation

Presenter name(s) and affiliation(s): Please list your credential, as you would like them to appear in the program.

Contact information: name, address, telephone, fax and email of one contact person.

Mini biography of presenters: (30 words maximum per person).

Audiovisual needs: DVD Monitor, Audio equipment and LCD Projectors for Power Point presentations will be available to the presenters.
Instruments needed: Limited number of musical instruments (Orff instruments, drums, guitar, keyboard, will be available at the conference for workshop presentations. Please indicate from the list displayed below the specific instruments needed so that we can attempt accurately your request.

Type style and fonts: Times Roman should be used in 12 –point, non-boldface type.

The abstract contains a maximum of 400 words (abstract: 300 words; biographical details (100 words) presented on one A4 page.
